I was going past a large sheep farm several years ago, late at night, and hit a hog. Killed the thing, and didn't do my truck much good, either. There's the sheep farm, a dairy farm behind me, and a horse farm just ahead, no idea where the hog came from. Pulled it off the road, and went home. Two days later, cop comes in the lane. Asked if I had hit this hog, and I honestly said, "Yes". He proceeded to write me a ticket for hit and run, and leaving the scene of an accident involving a fatality. Judge dropped his gavel and gave me a $200 fine!
