Give her a shot of ether, if it runs then dies, its gas related. If gas supply is problem, pull the plug, at the bottom of carb, and see if you have a steady flow, for several minutes. No plug on carb ? pull the in line, and examine flow, there. still no flow? Go to the sediment bowl, dis-assemble by unscrewing the bail nut, remove bowl, turn valve back on, you should have 2 separate 1/4" streams of gas coming out of the tank, at 180 degrees apart. If flow here is obstructed, take a small led flashlight, and get a good look into the tank. Something could be floating in the gas, intermittently getting sucked into the out pipe. If out pipe appears clogged, remove the sediment bowl, and drain gas out, and diagnose, and replace parts, if needed. If it's not a flow problem to the carb, then it's the carb. Find a good carb guy, and have the jets cleaned, and inspected. If the spark plugs are dry, after a starting attempt, it's still the carb. If there is no spark, problem is the electrical end.
