Your 34638 is a 1955 model, the 29364 is a 1953 model. The hand clutch on the right side is a dry Lambert clutch, veeeery spendy to repair! It disconnects the right rear wheel from the power train, which allows the tractor to stop fwd/rear motion, while letting the hyd and pto operate- thus it gives live power. The op manual, as well as the I&T AC 11 service manual should have details on the clutch. It is possible to eliminate that clutch by replacing it with a solid drive shaft, same as the left side..............but WHY??? considering the value of it. Some choose, when the discs fail, to weld the clutch halves together, or bolt them together, rather than replace the spendy discs that make the system such a vast improvement over the predecessor, the non-live Model C.
