I have a hobby farmer neighbor who has my fathers old JD494A plate/runner type planter. He would like to upgrade to something newer, like maybe a 7000, four row wide. So if you have something like that, there's your chance to get rid of the old one! I had a White 5100 for years, and would have bought another, but the dealers are gone, so I bought JD. There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
