When I bought my place, a good deal of it was over run by rose, blackberry, black locust and other junk. I bought a John Deere 709 rotary on rubber. It cost me a tire or two, but that rotary would eat just about anything smaller than 4" down to ground level. It would eat old fence posts and spit them out.
