I have been using a MF 1085 for the last few years and it is time to let it go and replace it with something newer. I mainly use it for running a disk mower and round baler putting up between 500 and 1,500 rolls per year with a JD 535 baler.
Been looking at a Kubota M 9540 or M 8540 with front wheel assist, loader, cab, etc. These are 95 and 85 hp tractors respectively. Would like to find a good used one with low hours, but none have shown up in my area yet.
I believe the baler recommendations are for an 80 hp tractor. I would also use the tractor for moving and loading hay and for other general loader work on my Ranch. I have sandy soil, so the 4 wheel assist would be a big plus in the soft ground.
Any thoughts on those models of Kubota? Good, bad, other. Is there a comparable model of JD or Case/IH that would be recommended?
