This has been a month ago now. Going out to feed cattle one day and the wind was blowin' 'bout 50 knots.
Noticed that on the hi way, the noise was gone when I was with the wind, but came back with a vengeance at an even lower 25mph when I faced into the wind.
Still and all, I did everything under the sun to try and find that rascal. Just couldn’t put my finger on it.
It was embarrassing. Going thru town, and if the wind was just right, people would turn and look the darn noise was so loud.
Sounded just like an output shaft bearing going out. But really, really loud! And at hi way speeds, there was this "singing" noise which seemed to come from the front differential.
Finally in desperation, I threw my hands in the air, gambled the $7 and won on both counts. :>)
