We all owe it to ourselves and our children to check the dates. The cataclysmic financial event, the Wall Street Meltdown, that now seems like it may eventually destroy the American (and world) economy as we knew it, happened in September of 2008. GWB2 was still President, after 8 years. "Big O" was a only a nominee, not yet elected. Did you, or I, or anyone else ever hear GWB2 say ” this mortgage fraud mess will destroy our country”. H... no. But we often heard GWB2 brag about the jobs that were created during his 8 years in office. In 4 of those years he controlled both houses. Did they even try to make these credit abuses illegal? H... no. Did he take credit for all the construction jobs, and the car sales, and the stock market rise fueled by phony mortgage loans to deadbeats? You bet he did. Did anyone hear McConnell or Boehner voice concerns? If so please send me a copy.
“Wall Street Journal 10-4-2008 (One month before "Big O" was elected President and likely the reason he was elected) WASHINGTON -- President GWB2 signed into law an unprecedented $700 billion plan to rescue (bailout?) the U.S. financial system, one of the largest-ever government interventions in the nation's economy -- and almost certainly not the last.”
Not "BIG O...GWB2...your hero!

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
