Poverty is hidden away here.Lots of dirt roads that most people never travel on.Old trailers with blue tarps on the roof with old tires holding them down.Road salt destroys cars and trucks long before they are really worn out from mechanical problems.When it gets below zero you need a good vehicle to get to work if you have a job.20% of children go to bed with out supper in one county here.Schools are serving breakfast and many kids get free lunch.Ive heard that some kids save part of their lunch to bring home.Picked up a young fellow hitch hikng with a 5 gallon can years ago.He was headed for the general store to buy some kerosene.He works in the woods but there was no work because of muddy conditions.Oil dealer could no longer put kerosene in his 55 gallon drum because of a new state law forbidding it.He was doing odd jobs for neighbors to get grocery money.Didnt smoke or drink ,but it was still hard going.Town welfare if very hard to get here.For many years 1000.00 was voted for welfare,The same amount voted in 1888.Romney was asked how much he earned from speaking engagments.His answer not much, when pressed he said 375,000.The rich have always ridden on the backs of the poor.Aint gonna change soon.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
