Those were good ole trucks, those tandem 850's(maybe that one is a single axle) with the 5x4 trans, I used to run one with a detroit and allison auto, thing had the fastest raising dump box I ever saw. The oil nonsense in the early 70's made these unpopular, my friends dad had a fleet of them working til the late 80's and finally scrapped the last of them a few years ago.
Don't know what it is about them but I always liked the body style, the interior of these and the gear/lightening bolt emblem, my original floor mat has that on it.
Old trucks are cool in my book, I enjoy driving mine, people look and stare, just like a classic car, maybe more so, as you don't see ones like my F-600 very often around here, and I will tell you its one heck of a firewood getter !

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
