Fixerupper, I gradusted H.S. in '59 and I would have to say the meals at my school here in upstate NY were pretty good. Come to think of it, just about everything was made right there in the school's kitchen. My family didn't have much money, so for the last 3 years of H.S. I carried lunches and milk crates to the kindergarten classrooms for my free lunch. Kindergartners didn't go to the cafeteria. I usually got an extra milk and fruit or dessert. I had no complaints but I've never been a picky eater either. We had an old lady who made the absolutely best "black" chocolate cupcakes I have ever tasted. I have never had better chocolate cake to this day! They came up on the menu every few weeks and you can bet I got at least one extra dessert on that day!

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity".
