There was a dealer in Vermont that had exclusive rights to sell the 'Slope Boss'. I think it might have had a deeper oil pan as well as the terra-tires. I think the reason the tires were reversed was because you really wanted more control going downhill, even at the expense of less traction going up. I've been in the ski industry for 40 years, and only saw these things at the Winter trade shows. They must have sold a few, but probably all in the Northeast where the snow is not very powdery. The Slope Boss became obsolete when the tracked vehicles got much larger engines together with mounted tillers and really good blades.
