Most often it's the geopolitical situation that is causing the problems, not lack of food. When the GMO farmers put on battle rattle, grab an M4 and defeat the War Lords/harsh dictaters and such who are preventing people from growing/gathering/raising/hunting food they cannot claim they are keeping people from starving with GMO crops. It just isn't true and all the GMO crops in the world are not going to fix that problem. in other countries some are so poor that they just can't buy food and there is no welfare system to help.
