Thought was was with a M60 tank in Mannheim Germany in the 1970's? Iirc the solder got a dear John letter, requested and obtain a firing pin for the main gun on the weekend. He hung the tank up on a road divider and knocked a track off. The cops were pretty excited and thought the tank could still travel on on track. They yanked the hatch open and emptied thier sidearm down and around inside. There still maybe video of the event somewhere. Wondering if some unsanctioned tank driving has happened more than once?
