Haven't shopped Wal Mart in a couple of years.....because of lack of service and poor quality....just looking for a few things and didn't want to drive 90 miles to find em.
Far as checkouts goes....I know a former Wal Mart store manager. I guess the store manager gets a monthly bonus for "meeting payroll". That standard is set by a percentage of store sales. So there is an incentive to schedule as few people as possible or if business is slow to send employees home early. Now Wal Mart is not the only company to do this but it will affect customer service and satisfaction.
