A friend gave me a F5L912 (1980) he had cut out of a truck. I have it sitting on the floor ready to start, but... where do you pour oil in it? I know there's none in there because it was laying on it's side with the torched-off dipstick tube on the bottom. I do not understand this oiling system. There's a external gear pump on the L.H. side of the motor. It sucks the oil from the sump, pushes it through a couple weird bypass valves operated by cables,(also torched off) and back to the sump. I do not see how the oil gets to the block. But it apparently does because there is a filter head on the R.R. corner of the block. What are these valves for? Thanks, Fritz
