I've got a '94 F-250 2WD with the 302 (5.0) and 4AOD tranny. I really can't reccommend it, the engine just doesn't have the power you need at times, and it won't get decent milage unless you drive "wimp" style with an egg between your foot and the gas pedal. (Then maybe 15 mpg). It's the light 250 with the semi-floating rear axles like a 1/2 ton, but big brakes, 8 lug wheels and heavy front axle I also have a '95 F-150 4WD short wheel base with the 351 (5.8) and 4AOD and big 265 75R-15 tires and it gets better milage and it actually weighs more. (16.5-17mpg) The F-250 is quiet, drives nice and seems pretty solid, but just not enough uuummph. I had a '84 Crown Vic with the 302 and it was pretty good...real good after a friend "chipped" it. (20 mpg).
