I've been painting wood barn's, granaries, houses etc plus metal buildings for 15 years and I would guess you could get a airless sprayer on E-Bay for approx 350.00 that would work for you. Or as someone said you can rent one pretty cheap. For best results you should brush it in while you are spraying. The last few years I have been using a red stain as I think it will last longer then regular paint. If you use two coats you won't need to brush much the second coat. My first airless was a diaphram pump and was 200.00 . The last one I bought cost 2800.00 but it will run two guns. A piston type pump is much better and will last longer then a diaphram style.
