You can find them if you look around. At under $2k you're probably limited to 9Ns or Ferggie 20s if you want 3 point hitch. Lots of good non-3 point field tractors (Farmalls, WD's, etc.) can be had for under $2k; the trick is to find matching implements. I recently saw c. 1960 Oliver 500 and 550 (which are very modern tractors) advertised for $2500 to $2900.
