I'm concerned about the oil pressure on my H Farmall.
On a cold start with 15W40 oil it will hit about 50 pounds pressure, but when completely warmed up will run only 5-10 pounds at full throttle. I've replaced the guage and the oil pump, so I guess the next thing is to replace the rod and main bearing inserts.
Other than that, it runs like a champ, good compression, no smoke, etc. For that reason, I hate to go into it farther than I have to.
What are the odds that replacing the rod and main bearings will help? The tractor is a 1952, been in our family 50 years, and to my knowledge the engine has never been torn down.
