I have a 07 2500 HD. I put the Reese rails in the bed and bolt them to the frame according to there specs. I put a fifth wheel on that I can take out in a few minutes and install the plate on for a Goose Neck. Its rated for 16000# which is more than enough for my truck. This is the third truck I've used the same rails in. I just take the rails off and reinstall them when I change trucks.
