Another thought (or question):
Have you tried driving it around at all ???
Driving it around, up hill down hill,
in a low gear, with the clutch pedal
depressed, "goose" the gas suddenly,
and momentarily, might put enough twisting
strain on the plates to brake them loose.
Just a thought.
