I suppose it'd be easy to switch. My flatbed is a gooseneck with the traditional ball. The ball pipe is adjustable up and down probably a foot or better. I could put a 5th wheel in my truck and put the pin on my trailer. The gooseneck ball can (in my opinion) take more side to side flexing. I load hay and drive through some pretty uneven ground and I think a 5th wheel only flex's front-back where the GN will flex through the entire 360 degrees of the ball.
