"The American Red Cross Shelter is open at Charlestown High School; please help those who need shelter to get there. The shelter will be open until there is no further need. The best way to help at this time is with a monitary contribution to your local Red Cross chapter or other official disaster relief effort. Anyone wishing to volunteer to help with the shelter operations should come to the Clark County Red Cross at 1805 East 8th Street in Jeffersonville to complete an application and background check process. All volunteers will be required to attend an orientation before they are issued an identification badge and put on a schedule to help.
