as many know on here i wont buy a new truck , i cant fix 'em , now my newest, is a 94 dodge 2500 hd, with the cummins and automatic overdrive, yesterday it decides to learn a new trick, when driving down the hiway at 60 or so, upon deceleration, the transmission, comming out of lockup have a pronounced "bump", it only does this in od with the converter loced up, when i disable the od feature, [ button on the dash] the truck doesnt do this, all gears work normally, im thinking the torque converter is on its way out, even though the entire transmission and converter was replaced about 60,000 miles ago, [truck has a quarter million on it] i plan on having a shop replace the rear main seal in the engine which on the cummins is done by removing the tranny, so the converter could be easily replaced at that time, question is, 1, is that whats wrong, and 2, will it hurt to drive the truck for a few weeks in the meantime?
