Years ago the wife and I would eat at a popular mexican cafe just about every saturday night. One day someone looked in the trash dumpster and discovered all the Alpo dog food cans and the boxes they came in and call the law. The place was shut down and it never reopened. They had been in business for many years and the food was really good, the FDA found many cases of Alpo in a back room and it made the front page for a week or so. The FDA said there was nothing to worry about and that eating Alpo would not cause folks any problems.(I guess that was for those that puked every time they thought about what they'd been eat'n) I never really worried about it and I guess they were right cause I never did start chasing cars.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
