I just put it in our new home, well not quite finished the power needs to be hooked up. This ios the well system. I really had to shop and study finially figured out the dealers. Seems the Feds and, at least Va, state will give a signficate tax credit for HOME CONVERSIONS. The first dealer a year ago offered to do the system for 50K on a 2800 sq ft home; then this year anpther one offered 40K and tells me about the tax credit. When I tell him it doesn't apply to new construction his answer was "lie". So I went back to the first guy and just talk to him about how the tax credit doesn't apply and he's the guy I'm going to call for service yada yada; anyway he comes in with just over 30K. That's what it would cost to put in a convential forced air system. What these guys are doing is adding the tax credit to their basic bids; they're not trying to get part of the credit they want it all. It's a good system but be careful.
