: : : Does anybody have or know of either of the following small crawlers which were built in the mid to late fifties? A "Kitty Krawler" crawler which was built buy Lincoln Steel Works of Lincoln, Nebr., or a "Speedcat" crawler which was built by Mead Specialities Company of Chicago, Ill.
: : Harold, I own one of them, what do you want to
: : know?

: : Shawn

: Shawn,

: Which crawler do you have, what shape is it in, where are you located, and do you want to sell it?

: Harold H.

Harold,
I was told that mine was called a Kitty Krawler, I looked at the tag and it says it was made by , Lennox Industries Inc. of Des Moines, Iowa. the model number is KTE1-600, the serial number is 365-050. It has a five HP Briggs engine on it. Not the original one, It is missing the engine cowl. I have only seen one other like it. That one had a blade and a also a front mowing deck.
It was a gift so it is not for sale. I live in Upstate NY, where are you located.
Shawn

I've already drilled the center of the bolt out with about 7/64" drill bit the entire length of the bolt. Only one end of the bolt is visible. I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t ... [Read Article]
