Sounds like a 1940-1947 oliver 70 to me. The 70 model all used a overhead valve continental 6. The early ones had a four speed trans but i believe they went to the six speed when they went to the new style(rounded front) and dropped the Hart-Parr logo. Don't have my serial number book handy but will check it as soon as i find it.
