not sure how old some here are but I have been running equipment for over 40 years and I can say that the "NEW" dsl fuel is very dry compared to the older fuel of years ago, while it( the new low sulfer) may work just fine in the current engines and injection systems the older ones ( like I run) need some lube as to mileage my 97 Dodge with a Cummins does get better mileage when adding oil, adding 2-3 gal of used oil to a 100 gals of dsl will get me 2-4 hrs more out of each tank on an average and there is a noticable differance in the way it performs, as to the commment at the bottom on my other post not sure what that means,, if you think I am stupid for this so be it I have done this for many years and thousands of running hrs and have never had a injection pump injector or valve failure, a major trucking company I know run millions of miles and they add every bit of their used oil to the dsl storage tanks no problem at all
