Well I've been using a 8 ft disc on a tractor half it's power and weight I have pulled a 10 ft with but it was a bit much . So I figure 16ft would be just about right. I have used a friends jd 4010 with a 14ft disc and could have pulled more I think. My neighbor is gonna let me try the 16 if the tractor struggles to much I'll look for a 14Ft. I'm more concerned about finding a good field cultivator for it. I pull a 10th jd 3pt with a ford 4000 and it's works well. But none of my neighbors have a cultivator smaller than 24ft so I don't have the luxury of trying befor buying.
