Last fall when I changed my fluid the main body took 17+ another 5 because it will take it without a problem. Each axle took 6 quarts. The fluid I use is IH Hi-trans for the whole tractor less the engine. Be sure to change the filter on the side and clean the screen or you'll wind up with milk again.
