txjm is right, we had a 4650 that did that and one of the breakers was bad. We switched it out and after working good for a while they still went out. I think we replaced the switch and dimmer switch and still no luck. You could smell the wires heating up in the cab and if possible we'd shut the lights off for a few minutes and then they would work for a while. We knew we had a short and knew it was the black wire leading to the breaker box but hardly ran the thing after dark so didn't fix it. You may check the wires from the switch and around the breaker box to see what one it is if you still have troubles.
