Here's another option, BLW. Saw that you would be happy with as little as an acre. Dunno anything about land in the area that you prefer, but here in SW OK, sometimes several connecting city lots and even whole blocks are sold/auctioned off, with or without buildings (in various states of being...lol)in small dying towns or settlements (e.g. Cooperton, OK, Gould, OK, Loveland, OK, etc.)Many towns also dissolve their charter and return to unincorporated or have minimal restrictions on use. Here folks are glad to see someone decent move in, another warm body to populate their community. Some of the larger parcels are held by disbandened churches (1st Baptist in Gould(1.5 city blocks), OK; Cath. Church in Trinchera, CO (several town parcels), etc...), old school land, cotton gins or COOPs, etc. Check with local banks as well. I know that you rather trade tractors for land, but those can be sold for $ and $ buy the land. Another thing to consider: What are your tractors worth in your current location, what's the value where you want to move to, cost of transporting them, etc...Just some food for thought. PS: If you would like to move to SW OK, let me know, email is open!! Hot but dry, low humidity, is good for aching joints!! -- Be glad to help and we would love to have you!
