dave2, I have been running Airplane tires on the front of my 966 since 6 month after I bought it back in 1992 My first set went + - 14 yrs the last two yrs on that set were Iffy. My new set is about 4 yrs old and look like I will get at least that on them. A 20 ply tire is designed for the wt of an Airplane and the 200 MPH speed as it lands. The tire I have on the front of My 966 are Nose wheels on a Boeing 727 jet! If your wheels are good!, order a set of late mfd date carcass, new recap tires and get a local heavy truck tire company change them out for you. I have never been sorry for buying mine! Get the newer carcass date tires!!, For a cousin of mine opted for a cheaper pair of recaps from the same company, /they did well for a while but dry rot caused one to fail. At 50 lbs Mine do not squat, For any round bale of any wt, wet calachie road base! Period!!! Hope this helps! Later, John A. My first set had 2 flats in the time I had them and this set has had 1 so far, actually a pinched tube. NO thorns get in!
