I have used the shipping link here on YT a couple of times with good results. The last time I found a backload from a trucker that was based not too far from me. He let me know when he picked up my cab in Iowa, and called to let me know he was going to be late getting here. The only thing I asked him up front is if he had insurance. If I could remember his name, I sure would have passed it on. Can't speak for the ride along part. Seems to me the driver won't want to bring you back and would rather keep moving. That's what made my haul so reasonable, and late. Seems he had more than my piece on his backload. I bet they watch the shipping posts pretty close so you might want to try it there.
