Make sure it is compatible to wet clutch transmissions. About fifteen years ago some of the TSC hydraulic oil stated it was equivalent to JD 303/Hy-guard oil. In the real fine print it stated it was not for wet clutches. We got three or four tractors in that the clutch facings had de-laminated from the clutch disks.
So if the TSC oil is $40 cheaper per five gallon pail then you can "save" $120 with the TSC oil over JD Hy-guard ($76.00/ 5 gallon). So you are gambling $120 against the life of the clutch packs in your power shift transmission. How long do you think that $120 will pay a mechanic/parts if the oil causes problems???
I do use cheaper hydraulic oil in older simple tractors (non wet clutches) that don't have selective control valves.( no mixed oil in cylinders) I just don't want to take the risk of causing a high dollar repair on a wet clutch pack.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
