I got one thing to say about motorhomes: ROOF! The roof will rot away on one long before the drivetrain goes south. That said, my family and I used a 460 powered 96 Tioga to pull a 3 horse trailer all across the US. 9 mpg w/o the trailer, about 6.5 with--> assuming 65 mph, above that it pushed so much air the mpg fell off like crazy. REALLY impacted by side wind and passing trucks (especially with the trailer), and don't forget the fuel pump problems of the 460 powered e350 chassis trucks . But...only way to fly if you're going a long distance with kids! microwave, TV, cold drinks, bathroom, all while making time traveling!
