THANKS for the post.This gutsy fellow flew the 1st instrument flight in 1931 in a plane with ALL windows and visual opennings taped over from St. Louis to Chicago to prove the performance of Aircraft instrumentation flights. When he was on the Board of directors of Standard Oil at 82 he did a hand stand on the outside window sill some thirty stories up to prove his conviction for a key issue to the board of directors. I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out.
