The post below about what we've been working on got me thinking. I horse traded for this trailer about a year ago. Great tractor hauler - bumper pull, 16' shop built, 12K lbs, tilt deck, 12V winch. The entire frame was hot dip galvanized when it was new. The only thing I didn't like about it was it had those darned trailer house axles under it. I couldn't afford new axles ($550 ea)but I kept looking for some used ones. Found a set of those but then needed wheels and tires too. Kept looking on craigslist and 2 weeks ago found a set of four Chevy wheels, tires and hub caps. So I made the switch this week. I had to change out the wheel studs so that the hub caps would fit but now I have a good trailer with wheels that match my pickup. Stylin'! And one spare tire to fit both vehicles. I don't have the fenders on yet. That one is just sitting on 2x4s. Needs to go up another inch or so.
