You kind of lost me. I have 5.9 Cummins in both of my '96 and '02 Dodge pickups. My '02 has an automatic, Dodge. The weakest link in the drivetrain in the Dodge pickups with automatics, is their automatic transmission. The Dodge warrantee covered my automatic at under 50,000 when I lost everything but first gear. After my 10 year warrantee expired and I lost everything again, a trans rebuilder rebuilt the same trans before I hit 70,000. My choice of mating a Cummins to anything would not be a Dodge automatic trans. If I had to adapt it, I would adapt it to something worth my money. I see that you are looking to get this out of a bus, school bus I'm guessing, and I know nothing about that Allison. I always thought that if Dodge could have mated the Cummins with the Allison that is mated to the Duramax, then they could have had something outstanding. I guess that when you say into your old gasser, you mean pickup? Fellas have been putting the 5.9 into tractors like Olivers for instance, but no need to a Dodge automatic transmission needed there.

There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
