Better check on what kind of Allison is in that bus. I'm willing to bet it's not and OD transmission, likely an AT545 4spd non OD transmission without a torque converter lockup. If that's the case, you will need some pretty low gearing in the rear end to get any speed out the truck, and that will come at the price of towing ability. Also, that Allison will take a few MPGs away, especially without a lockup TC. I would look for a manual transmission, probably an NV4500 would be the best band for the buck and you can get off the shelf parts to make it all bolt up.
