Any of the issues we"ve had with a edge"s Loss of brake fluid isn"t one of them. To add that much fluid I would hafta say remove the master cylinder from the booster & see if there is evidence of fluid lead, where the engine would just burn the fluid.. It is possible a low fluid light might come on once the pads wear down & the resivore capacity is only a minium.... But not 1/2 cup every month or so.. I believe it"s the booster if you cannot find any visable leaks..
