: Here is a repost from the AC discussion board. I am hoping that an Allis person can help me select paint for my WD. : I went to NAPA today looking for the correct color for a WD. The cross reference book lists three oranges under Allis Chalmers. Orange, persian orange and persian2. I have the mix numbers for acrylic enamel. Orange is 91L3723 and persian orange is 99N3967. Persian2 was a different type of paint. a pint was $17, quart was $30 and a gallon is $98. Manufacturer was Martin Senour. I am needing to know if Allis Orange in an acrylic enamel would be the best paint for the job? : Sincerely appreciate all responses. I am trying to get my sheetmetal done prior to finding a front rim and so on. There is quite a bit of discussion on AC paint on the AC board at www.dstratton.com/allis/wwwboard/index.html Perhaps you have already read all this? The early tractors, up to 1960 used Persion Orange 1, later was Persian Orange 2. The correct paint seems to be the Ditzler PPG DAR 60080 for number 1 .
