Did you put a pressure gauge on it also? Any of them will fail but if you have the gauge you can tell before it does damage. My injector pump went out at 100,000 but I still have the original lift pump. I watch the gauge pretty close and have a spare lift pump under the seat if it goes dead. When I had my injection pump redid, they said failures were caused more by bad soldier joints on the computer than from lack of fuel pressure. Also, after you shut the truck down, the fuel temp rises considerably and that also takes it's toll on the computer. I also have a fuel temp gauge and have seen it get up to 150 degrees when the tank gets low and your working it. New ones are supposed to be better and take the heat better. Where did you get your injection pump from?
