John T,
Your pole barn sounds a lot like mine. I started building mine about 14 years ago and worked on it off and on for a couple years as I had time. The building is 30x60 ft. and intended to pour concrete floor in a 30x40 ft. section for a work shop. The problem is I started storing tools, farm equipment. left over building supplies, everything. The wife even started putting her yard sale stuff in with my prized possesions. I didn't have birds, I had bees everywhere, I was afraid to move anything because of the bee nests. It started looking like a hoarders nightmare, I couldn't find things I knew I had. After I semi-retired I knew I had to do something so I listed stuff on Craigslist and went to flea markets, one guy at a flea market said man you are giving your stuff away. I thought I don't care it does not mean as much to me as it did. Now I have my building back and can do what I planned to do before I got side tracked with all this great stuff.

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
