Given the price of hydraulic fluid now a days, I'm thinking its better to fix my leaks then keep buying fluid.
In my rear valve for the 3 pt rams on my mf 205 industrial, there are fitting holes (female) that are 1/2" that have fittings going into them that are 1/2" NPT tapered thread going to female 1/"4 NPT swivel that seal by I think that mechanical seat...the 1/4" hose as an inside bevel.
The questions is, if the female holes on the valve that have the fitting (1/2" NPT tapered thread) cranked into are producing leaks (which they are) could I buy the o-ring boss or o-ring boss face seal fitting which have straight threads thus fixing the leaks with the o-ring instead of the tapered thread cranked down? Are the female holes tapered too or just the fitting that goes into it? Anyone know of these old valves?
