I killed the engine as I could see the PTO wasn't coming out and I was done my work and wanted to get back to the house - the lever felt like it did 6years ago - but I was sure I could restart once it was levered back...but it must be something else other than and easy to see external switch or contact switch on the lever.

I've got to get the forward clutch fixed...so it has to be split anyhow...annoyingly, when I drove by it yesterday evening to go fishing - I could see one of the rear tires was dead flat...thats just the kinda year I've been having...so today, I'll air it up, jump it, then get it home so the tire can get fixed - then it goes to my JD guy...
