I too enjoy looking through old cemetaries. A couple of them in Aitkin County MN are my favorites. One in Waukenabo tnsp has a monument for Olaf and Lena Swenson - man and wife b1860 d1923 or so. I've always wondered if they were the original Ole and Lena that inspired all the Swede jokes. Another one near Wealthwood MN has a lot of names like Festus and Thelma Smith or Rastus (Jack) and Carla Kemp. Wealthwood was an experiment by the Federal government back in the 20s to import a bunch of black families into the area. Starvation country up there though so the community did not thrive. Young folks left for the cities and the old ones died in place. Not much left of the town and no blacks at all. A few odd names in the old cemetary though as a footnote to another time and place. Billonthefarm, I'm not trying to hijack your thread here. I always like your posts and pics.
