That is exactly why for the past 30 years I would not buy a Firestone tractor tire. 6 months old and they would do nothing plus they did not have the pulling power of the 45 lug tires and were equal to one size smaller tire. I once told the guys at the Firestone tire proving ground there tires were junk. The old style with the cross connected bars from 1946 with 1/2" tread would out pull a new set of the field and road tires. And that 10 x 38 was same size as the 12.6 and not the 11.4 that should be the same size.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
